Rebates and Tax Credits

The outcome of the 2009 Texas Legislative session did not produce the expected results for solar and renewable energy incentives on the state level. The good news is that support for renewables continues at the Federal level and through incentive programs offered by many utilities across the state.

Solar PV Systems

Federal Income Tax Credit - A Federal income tax credit of 30% is available.

Utility Rebates - Many utility companies offer a rebate program based on a per watt basis. These utilities include Austin Energy, Oncor, Entergy, Texas New Mexico Power Company, and other municiple and rural electric cooperatives across the state.
